SUMMARYDirectly responsible for providing quality instruction for the state approved CTE metals, construction, and/or CAD classes. Responsible for Advising SkillsUSA Career & Technical Student Organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current Washington State CTE teaching certificate in endorsed areas or willingness to obtain CTE Conditional certificate
  2. Preference given to candidates with an endorsement for assignment.
  3. Must favorably pass the Washington State Patrol/FBI background check.
  4. Demonstrate mature behavior and ability to use sound judgment in communicating with students, parents, staff, and community.
  5. Demonstrated success by training/experience which recognizes all children as learners.
  6. Preference given to quality current references.
  7. Must submit a complete application packet.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret appropriate curriculum materials. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents.  Ability to effectively present information to colleagues, parents and administrators.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to classroom applications.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
